October may be one of my favorite months in New York City. The pace of the city seems to change—the summer heat gives way to crisp autumn days, the light takes on a different quality, and there is always something new to see, experience, and enjoy.
With that in mind, I’ve put together a curated selection of events and experiences taking place throughout Manhattan and around New York City this October. From art, culture, food, and entertainment to some of the city’s great fall traditions, there’s something here for just about everyone. As always, my goal is to make it a little easier for you to discover something you might not otherwise come across. Whether you’re a lifelong New Yorker, relatively new to the city, or simply someone who loves everything New York has to offer, I hope you’ll find a few things worth putting on your calendar. Enjoy—and, as always, enjoy New York! All my best,
