🌼 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival | March 20 – April 26 | Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, Woodburn
Stroll through 40 acres of stunning tulip fields featuring millions of blooms in over 100 varieties. The festival also features hot air balloons, wine tastings, a gift shop, food and craft market, and a children's play area. Tickets must be purchased online; children 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult.
🎨 First Friday PDX | April 3 | SE Arts District, Portland
Located in Portland's vibrant East Side Arts District, the First Friday Art Walk takes place on the first Friday evening of every month year-round, featuring more than 23 independent galleries, shops, and studios, plus a street exhibition from April through October. The self-guided tour is free and open to all.
🌲 Tryon Creek Trillium Festival | April 4 | Tryon Creek State Natural Area, Portland
This annual educational event for the whole community celebrates the season of renewal in the forest and beyond, hosted this year in the new Education Pavilion. Activities include a native plant sale, family-friendly interactive nature stations around the Nature Center and along the trails, and a gardening resources fair. The event is free to attend.
🌱 Lake Oswego Sustainability Resource Fair | April 19, 1–4 PM | River Grove Elementary School, Lake Oswego
The 5th Annual Lake Oswego Sustainability Resource Fair is themed "Sustainability in Action," featuring hands-on ways to live sustainably, including information on native plants and pollinators, kid-friendly crafts, battery-powered yard tools, EV vehicles, and more. Free and open to all ages.
🎷 2026 Mt. Hood Jazz Festival | April 22–26 | Mt. Hood Community College, Gresham
This five-day festival features world-class music, education, and community celebration, with performances by internationally renowned jazz artists, local favorites, and rising young musicians across the MHCC campus and partner venues throughout Gresham and Portland. Student stages are free to attend, and children 12 and under are free at all events (excluding some partner venues). Tickets available online.
🏡 LOSN Sustainability & Resilience Home and School Tour | April 25, 1–4 PM | Various locations, Lake Oswego
Hosted by the Lake Oswego Sustainability Network, this self-guided tour visits local homes and schools showcasing rooftop solar paired with battery storage, EVs capable of supplying emergency backup power, water catchment systems, and schools built to Seismic Level 4 resilience standards. 🛍️ Tabor Neighbors Yard Sale | April 18, 9 AM–4 PM | Throughout the Tabor Neighborhoods, Portland
The sale runs throughout the Tabor neighborhoods — a great opportunity to hunt for secondhand treasures, vintage finds, and great deals while connecting with neighbors. Check the North Tabor Neighborhood Association website for a map of participating homes.
