Frog Lake - Late Summer Update

Hello friends and neighbors!

Fall has officially arrived in Lake Oswego — the leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and our community is buzzing with cozy seasonal events and a little extra pumpkin spice. It’s one of my favorite times of year to enjoy local trails, markets, and everything that makes this area so special.

In this edition, I’m sharing a few highlights from around town along with a quick look at what’s happening in the local real estate market. Whether you’re curious about home trends, planning your next move, or just looking for ways to enjoy autumn in Lake Oswego, there’s something here for you.

September Market Update

Rates are finally down in the low 6% range for a 30 year fixed mortgage, which is great news for buyers and sellers - as this could open doors (literally) that were shut before.

And, working with a Windermere agent can get you an additional 1% of the loan amount for all conforming, FHA, and VA loans. This credit can be applied toward standard closing costs, a rate buy-down, or a combo of the two. Want to know more? Hit 'reply' and let me know!

Monthly reminder: These stats cover the entire Portland Metro area. Trends can vary widely by neighborhood and between condos, townhomes, and single-family homes. Let me know if you'd like more specific data for your search!

Chantrelle Season!

I usually head to Tillamook State Forest but you can hunt for mushrooms in any forested areas west of the Cascade Mountains are usually good spots.

And, remember, there are old mushroom hunters and bold mushroom hunters, but none that are old and bold. If you aren't sure, don't eat it!

The flagship location of, located in the Cathedral Park neighborhood of North Portland, was a collective effort of a small group of passionate, creative, and collaborative friends who saw a need in their local neighborhood for a gathering place.

Fall Home Maintenance

🍂 Fall Home Maintenance Checklist

As the weather cools and the rain returns, it’s a great time to prep your home for the months ahead. A little maintenance now can save you headaches later!

  • Clean gutters and downspouts – Clear out leaves and debris to prevent clogs and water damage.

  • Service your heating system – Schedule a furnace tune-up or replace filters to keep things running efficiently all winter.

  • Check weather stripping and caulking – Seal up drafts around doors and windows to save energy and stay cozy.

  • Inspect your roof and chimney – Look for missing shingles or cracks, and have your chimney cleaned before fireplace season.

  • Trim trees and clean up the yard – Remove dead branches and rake up leaves to keep your landscaping healthy and safe in stormy weather.
