Frog Lake - Late Summer Update

I blinked and most of summer is behind us! So many good memories so far...

Before jumping into the newsletter I want to share with you that Karen McLaughlin and I have teamed up to provide the best care and support to our clients that we can.

Karen and I found ourselves volunteering together for the Windermere Foundation on several occasions. Our work giving back to community showed us how well we work together and how aligned our values are!

A few snapshots from last month 📸

  • Camp Westwind drop off - the after picture was much dirtier!
  • Me in my happy place - outside!
  • The boys of summer at Frog Lake. Camping with this group of 15yr olds was peak. I didn't cook, clean, or set up a tent. We just lived our best lives in the woods and they took care of all the details! Such a great time with fab kids!
  • Visit from Grandpa Liam all the way from CT was wonderful. We went on the Willamette Jet Boat ride to the falls - informative, fun, and WET!
  • Lake Life on Oswego Lake - West helped us test the diving board for some property photos.
  • West asked me to give him some photography pointers (deep breaths, don't get too excited mom!) so we headed to Luscher Farms and doodled around
  • Father John Misty live at Revolution Hall with a good friend ❤️
  • Beaut of a sunset view out my living room window.

July Market Update

You wouldn’t know it from the news cycle, but most homeowners who sold last quarter still walked away with strong returns.

Even with all the talk of price fatigue and slowing markets, home sales in our area netted a return far above pre-pandemic levels.

The takeaway? Sellers may not be cashing out at the absolute peak, but long-term ownership is still paying off in today’s market.

P.S. If it’s been more than 12 months since you’ve received an updated home equity report, reply to this email and I can prepare one for you this week.

Monthly reminder: These stats cover the entire Portland Metro area. Trends can vary widely by neighborhood and between condos, townhomes, and single-family homes. Let me know if you'd like more specific data for your search!

Artisserie Fine Bakery

Lucky Lake Oswego has been graced with an new French bakery.

Pastry chef Vitaliya Popovych started her path toward owning Artisserie in her mother's kitchen in Ukraine - pouring over cookbooks and making ponchiki. She moved to the US in search of a better life and Continued her journey (wrapping in classical French training along the way). The first location of Artisserie is on NW 23rd in Portland. Thankfully, she chose LO for her second venue!

Before you worry that this will compete with our beloved St Honoré, I must tell you that it is a totally different vibe. Artisserie is more of a sit-down establishment with beautiful treats and savory goodness as well.

Currently you can swing in at 3pm for Tins & Toast which they advertise as "A golden hour rendezvous—unwind with a glass of wine (or bubbly), Ferrigno’s French tinned fish, and a well-appointed spread to fully enjoy: salami, Humbolt Fog cheese, radish butter terrine, marinated white beans, cornichons, olives, grainy mustard, toast, and root veg chips."

Sounds like a perfect summer afternoon to me!
