What I'm...
📖 : I am re-reading The Fifth Season, by N.K. Jemisin. Dystopian and fantastic. If you have not read this novel, I recommend picking a copy up. The whole trilogy is really great, actually. Next up is The Spinning Heart, by Ryan Donal. It's a short novel set in rural Ireland that explores the tension between inner desires and outward shine. I can't wait to dig into it. 👂 : I have recommitted to the Armchair Expert podcast. It started with an episode where Dax and Monica have a conversation with Jonathan Haidt, then another with Dr. Mary Claire Haver, then Nate Silver. And on down the rabbit hole I go... 🎲 : We played a lot of Forbidden Desert over spring break while we were out at the coast. This is the 2nd of 4 in a series by Gamewright Games. We love these because they are team strategy games. If one person runs out of water, everyone dies. You have to work collaboratively to win the game. And, it's not easy. We lost as many times as we won. But, we had fun!
