Summers are the best and I am thoroughly enjoying this season.

Our family is playing more golf this summer as our boys are into it and it’s a great way to have fun with them. 1 of the 4 boys outplays me currently and the rest will probably be beating me soon. We are heading to one of Montana’s best courses for a weekend getaway soon at the Wilderness Club and are also planning on playing Circling Raven and CDA Resort this Fall.

One of the boys favorite shows follows golfers on a road trip of different courses and they just featured The Wilderness Club, CDA resort and Circling Raven, which is fun to see some local favorites featured - here is the CDA episode.

WHY YOU SHOULD GET A

HIDE A KEY

Ever found yourself locked out of your own home? I have too. While smart locks are great (until the battery dies), having a hidden backup key can save you time, stress, & a locksmith bill.

I have unfortunately seen contractor lockboxes broken into, it recently happened to one of my colleagues in Seattle on his front door. If you use a lockbox, place it somewhere that's not easily visible from the street. Lockboxes are handy, but here are some other creative hide-a-key ideas we've seen:

Hide-a-rock: blends into your landscaping
Fake dog poop: weird, but I suppose it works
On top of the door sill: simple & quick, but predictable
Inside an electrical outlet: see here for an example
Under the deck, BBQ or backside of the house: less obvious spots
Contractor lockbox: simple, but make sure it is hidden around the side or back of your home.
Oh and of course, leaving a key with a neighbor you trust works great too.

It is always nice to have a backup plan for getting back into your home, & it doesn't hurt if it's a little fun too. If you have another great idea, I would love to hear it and add it to the list.
