Big weekend in Coeur d'Alene is coming up, with both Car d'Lane and IRONMAN 70.3 taking over downtown.

Car d'Lane kicks off Tonight, Friday, June 19, with the Cruise from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM along Sherman Avenue, followed by the Show & Shine on Saturday, June 20, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you've never been, it's a great excuse to spend some time downtown and check out hundreds of classic cars and vintage vehicles. My boys and I will be wandering around Saturday morning.

On Sunday, June 21, IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d'Alene returns. The race begins at 6:00 AM and runs throughout the day, with the finish line at McEuen Park.

Whether you're a car enthusiast, an endurance sports fan, or just looking for something to do downtown, it's a great weekend to get out and enjoy Coeur d'Alene.

WHAT I'M SEEING THIS SUMMER

The housing market isn't one thing right now.

Some homes are selling quickly with strong buyer interest, while others are sitting longer and requiring price adjustments. The difference often comes down to pricing, preparation, and how a home compares to the competition.

Buyers today have more options than they did a few years ago, which means sellers need to be strategic. Well-priced, well-presented homes are still attracting attention, while homes that miss the mark on pricing are often taking longer to sell.

The takeaway? Good homes, priced correctly, are still getting attention. Average homes, priced hopefully, are taking longer to sell.

Mortgage rates remain in the mid-6% range, with the 30-year fixed rate currently around 6.68%. While rates aren't ideal, they've remained relatively stable and buyers continue to adapt.
